Bringing Brass Back from the USA

I am struggling to get hold of 7 SAUM brass at the moment. There seems to be loads available in the US and as I am there next month I was wondering if there are any issue in bringing it back in my checked luggage.

This was covered at length quite recently

I've brought back brass (500 starline .44 mag cases), in the past, with no problems at all. More recently I have friends who have done so, also with no issues.
Just possible that you might have your checked in case opened by the TSA at the US end (they will often leave a little note in your bag to say they've inspected it), but that should not be a problem.

I live in both countries and regularly travel with rifles, ammunition and other reloading parts such as brass, bullets etc. never had an issue bringing brass or bullets to the
UK. I recommend you carry your FAC even if carrying components, if stopped you have a good reason for having non controlled components. As you state, must go in checked baggage, if only components and accessories you do not need to say anything to airline staff on your checking in for return flight to the UK.

7 SAUM brass is available but only from certain limited suppliers by mail order.

US Sellers are unlikely to sell to you if you use a UK payment address as they are all banning any non US sales to ensure they do not fall foul of an ITAR claim, why possibly jeopardize 99.9% of your business for 0.1% of sales. Thermal and night vision is firmly considered ITAR items.

PM me if you need any help.
