Brno 2-E firing pin spring.

Having read the recent thread on the CZ .22 with extraction issues I decided to strip and clean my Brno 2-E bolt down and clean the extractors.
When I removed the firing pin the spring came out in two half's.
It must have broken a long time ago , lord knows when and I never knew it had gone.
Have looked on the web for a replacement but cannot find one in stock.
Does anyone know where I can find one please?
Thanks in advance, Martyn.

CZ rifles Uk advertise one for £10.98 Chesterfield area.

If your old spring measured 60mm I've got a new one here that I ordered some time back but I don't need it.
PM me your address and I'll stick it in the post Monday morning.
That really is a very kind offer, many thanks, will measure it later today and let you know.

Many thanks.

If you are replacing the firing spring you may like to take the opportunity while the bolt is stripped to replace the extractor spring at the same time. Mine recently failed on my BRNO Mod 2, god knows how many 1,000s of rounds it had helped extract but they do go now and again.

Good idea thanks, I have put 15000 through it in 8 years but lord knows how many more its fired prior to my ownership.

I have a CZ452 which is similar. And I had a extractor issue as well. Gun shop ordered new extractors from CZ. But... they are thick! It would need at least 1-2 hours of fettling to bring them to the right thickness. Strange.
Gun shop was reluctant to go ahead, but came up with other idea: replace the half round spring retaining the extractors.
5 € cost work included. 2 years ago, > 1000 rounds later still not 1 more extraction issue.
So, if you order a new firing pin spring, order a new extractor spring as well. Good for another 20 years.

Do any of you chaps still have a spare striker spring, I need one desperately, thanks in advance.

Is this differnent from a BRNO 2, or CZ 452? ~Muir
Hi Muir I am not sure I could qualify this as I only own the BRNO and just waiting for the new one to arrive from Tarponhead, perhaps another member will help, good luck
