BSA CF2 .308 Restoration

There are two on the standard trigger, one for the trigger weight and one for the sear engagement. The original trigger pull weight spring was so firm that adjusting it meant it was either too hard or so hard it felt as if the safety was on! Hence why I carefully trimmed it to get a reasonable pull around 3lbs. The sear was screwed in so far that there was a good 2-3mm of movement before it disengaged so I adjusted it to a crisp clean break. When I first tried the trigger I thought there was no hope for it as it was so rough but it has worked out nicely.

Are the adjustment screws on a standard trigger or something different? I have a CF 2 that has one screw I can adjust but not seen a second one.

Ps you need to take the action out the stock to get to the sear adjustment screw. If you search on Google images you'll find an exploded diagram showing where it is.

Good save NH. It amazes me how cheap these rifles can be. At auction, they rarely go for more than £80, but, of course, in an auction you've no come-back if it turns out to be a dog.
