Budgies and Calcium?

Hi all. I have a Budgie (Reggie)
Near his cage there is a little tub of Calcium + D3 powder which says it's for Reptiles. Thing is I've never owned a Reptile so would this have been bought for Reggie?
Is it OK to give it to him?

I'd be inclined to stick to the good old cuttlefish bone. They like chipping away at it, not only does it provide calcium it gives them something to do and keeps their beaks in trim!

I'm sure Reggie will appreciate it!
