Bushbuck clothing & DWR treatment

Hello all
I have been going to write a sort of review / my findings / opinion for some time what prompted me to write this is the biblical rain I've been out in today.

I've been wearing various bits of Bushbuck clothing for some time , the build quality and design of their clothing is perfect for shooting or outdoor activities and can't recommend it enough.

I was out today in my Bushbuck Defender jacket and leggings they have been worn very regularly almost daily .

I have re-treated the jacket and leggings with Nikwax spray on and wash in DWR products to keep them in tip top condition.
For applying these I have followed the manfactures guidelines.

The above have worked really well and the jacket and leggings have never let in water but have gotten " wetted out" in very heavy rain previously.

I was out today on a mountain / hill top in what I will describe as biblical conditions.
The freezing rain was been driven by very strong winds and there were intermittent hail & sleet showers mixed in.

About a 3 weeks ago I treated my jacket and leggings with Grangers Fabsil Gold. I was out for just under two hrs and the jacket and leggings were tested in the worst conditions I've worn them in so far .

For the whole time I was out in the atrocious conditions the driving rain just beaded off the jacket and leggings ,and they never got
"wetted out" .

Once back at the truck I litrally just gave the jacket a good shake and it was almost dry.

I would rate all the DWR products as good but the Fabsil Gold for me is noticeably better and really worked well .

So for what's it worth , give Bushbuck clothing a look you won't be disappointed one bit, and for re-treating your clothing I'd highly recommend Fabsil Gold (for goretex type fabric ) or Fabsil (non goretex ).

Fabsil does stink on application but once dry there is no smell .

Hope this little review helps and hopefully keeps you dry .

Neil
