Scobie direct are a good betCan anyone recommend a reasonably priced set of butchery knives? Not cheapo stuff, but nothing fancy either.
My current assorted collection have been accumulated piecemeal over the years, but none are particularly good, so thought I'd just start again from scratch.

You only need two knives and a bone saw, a boning knife and a steak knife. I use a 5" straight boning knife, a 5" semi flex curved boning knife and a 10" steak knife.
Fish ive spent a lot of time in slaughterhouses since being a kid and during the lockdown I went and helped my pal for a few days to over come.boredom and found the tripe knkfe being used quite a lot for skinning these are a recent revelation up there anyhow they alway use to stone off the point and make round the end of a boning knifeI would only add a tripe knife helps for skinning.
Another for Vicnox.
Definitely Victrinox
butchers warehouse Blackburn
Lots of places (such as Nisbets) sell chef's knife sets, but butcher's knives seem to be sold individually. I was hoping to find a handy little set of 3 or 4 knives together.

Thanks. That's the sort of thing I was thinking of, although it's the smaller knives I need more than anything. I have a couple of steak knives, which are both good ones. This looks about right, though personally I would find a steak knife more useful than the large butcher’s knife.
