Cabinet Organisation - what to do when it’s getting tight?

Scoped rifle, Lee Enfield no.4, scoped rifle, Jungle Carbine, scoped rifle SMLE, - and so on
I admire your ethos on firearms

I've a 5 gun safe which with a squeeze fits a tikka t3x with daft large optic on it, a .22lr ruger precision with an mlock bipod on it that takes up a load of room and just about my shotgun, I had to get rid of my side by side because of space (rented flat, limited space for getting a bigger safe/fitting a second one) May end up having my mates 3 gun off him just to fit my No.4 when i get it, but again, where to put it!?

Evening all,
As my FAC ticket gets fuller month on month since the issue dare even though I purchased a 6 gun cabinet for my (6) I find that with 20MOA rails and large scopes I was struggling to fit it all in using the standard piece of foam used to space it all out - particularly on those with large scopes (have to have the rifle scope facing out towards the door and rifle just wants to fall out of the cabinet).

Iknow a lot of you Will probably say just throw them in they don’t need to be spaced out evenly - but I’m OCD and can’t do it!! 🙂

After a quick search on the internet I found no actual product to solve it that would do it singularly I.e. you can just “unlock” the rifle you want to take out leaving the rest all secure in the cabinet.

Working in engineering and having access to 3D printers I decided to make something quick and dirty that would allow me to best utilise my cabinet space and allow for rifles to be stored scope in and scope out and also vary the pitch and height to account for all the barrel lengths.

And I have to say its working a treat- even included a muzzle brake depression so I can store the rifle specific brake!

How do other members store inside the cabinet?
Oooh, nice, would you consider making some to sell?

I have 6 in my 6 rifle cabinet and its a squeeze. I only leave scopes on the 3 CFs. The LR, WMR and FAC air all have QR scope mounting solutions. Easier to take them on and off and check zero on them as needed. Very little change in POI with them if at all, so easy to do. I don't have space for a second cabinet so find this a useful way to limit future expansion......and expense.

That is a really nice idea , if It was me, I would amend it to have a hole so the mod could sit in it as well. I know a man with a 3d printer so I will need to have a conversation with him.
My cabinet setup inside is a bit heath robinson at the moment and I use broom holders, which work well.
I am waiting for 1 rifle to be returned from the gunsmith and then I will need to tidy the whole thing up.

Yes mod diameters can vary a little bit - I’ll model it up and post some renders if it’s of interest

I use gun socks on alternate rifles to stop dings and scratches, also I have adjustable stocks on some, shorten one extend the other, also 1 is upside down allowing the door to close at last.
It took some time to figure out, only needs doing once.
The whole cabinet is also lined with car carpet/spray glue.

I would buy a larger cabinet, no room to expand sadly
