Capstan Rope Winch

Hi.
Has anyone used one of these for extracting reds / sika etc? i was speaking to a fellow stalker and he mentioned them, so I looked them up on the web. I am suprised that I had never seen any advertised in the UK.

Anyone got any info on them cost etc. and can you get them over here?

Yes, excellent kit.

For the life of me, I can't remember where it was bought. A mate of mine bought one last year, I'll try and find out where.

look up , Seawinch.I have found them a great firm to deal with, they know all about pulling ropes .

had a mechanical one on a 110 years ago it'll work with any rope so i'd imagine it'll do your job

A syndicate member uses a Honda one with 200' of Kevlar flat braid rope.
Magic for pulling big reds in a sled or on their own. Saved a few sore backs & extracted a few from seemingly impossible locations.
