Car winch

Honestly I would use a trailer.
I used a car like you for 2 years.

The smells and insects in the car soon wear thin.
You have to deal with the deer and then deal with the car afterwards, especially if you have family and use the car for family duties.

Enjoy the drive on the 1 day you use the trailer. I'm sure you can slow down for 1 day mate.

That and it is so easy to add a winch to a trailer.
It would indeed be the easiest and I wouldn't be here looking for another option if I could go for it.
Problem is I live in downtown Milan. Stupid parking and traffic laws make it literally impossible (and unaffordable) to have a trailer. Where will I leave it?
Just undoable.
Same as pick-up truck. Can't drive old cars here anymore and definitely not going to buy a 50k truck to load a deer (not considering the parking issue).
I think downtown London would be a similar situation.

Long story short: trailer and pickups are not an option for me (unfortunately!😭)

I will come up with a drawing later today.

Again, the nylon I use in the car keep it perfectly clean. No smell, no insects, no blood, no nothing. Been doing that for years already. Just the loading is a bloody pain!

Grazie mille again for your precious help!

Believe me the nylon I use keep the car clean and not smelly . Been doing that for years. Just the loading part is a real pain , 😭

My thoughts are to use the open door frames as the block to brace a demountable cross bar (timber or steel) against. It is only for intermittent use. Ramps and a decent sized deer sledge should do it.

That's exactly what I have in mind as well

My thoughts are to use the open front door frames as anchor points utilising a pair of boot locks.

Between the door and jamb each side. Attach a semi taught steel chain between them from the door end (loop). Then from the centre of this chain clip the hand ratchet.

Pull the deer in its sledge up a pair of aluminium folding quad ramps.

Front seats forward and then one of these on a bit of strut through the front doors. Personally I use on a pickup truck where the rear isn’t so precious, but if you were careful I guess you could make it work.

I winch is also useful for extracting stuck trucks as it can be quickly front or rear mounted m. For me this is more versatile than a standard front mounted winch.

400 quid....how many pizza's is that!
I am off stalking as this is on the slippery sd slope to fantasy. :tiphat:

Not so many in London!🤣
Well I am not a city boy, lived in the same country village nearly all my life, 10 seconds to the nearest farm furthest is 25 mins.
Being a fabricator and not owning a Jeep is heaven.
We have marsh for ducks
crops for pigeons
land for deer rabbits foxes. And NO Pizza Hut.
But the Rossi Ice cream is very good:tiphat:
