Case Lube cheat recommendations please

That’s a reasonable question: as a hobby, and rather like we try different case/powder/bullet combos, lube is another area I’ve always queried its cost given how little you get!
A tin of Imperial Die Wax will last for many thousands of cases. The cost is irrelevant as is the amount in a tin - you only need a touch per case due to it being so effective.
By comparison spray lube (proprietary or home made) is quite wasteful but can be very handy when lubing a large batch of cases.

Amazon has lanolin & IPA.

What about the Lee brand case lube?
Not expensive as i recall and lasts ages.
I mean yeah. That is what I use. I reload about 1500 rounds a year and a tube lasts me for a few years and costs £5. I have a heavy duty bag, couple of dabs on the inside and then crinkle it and rub together to coat the inside of the bag. Then chuck in 100 pieces of brass and shake around and then roll on the floor for 20 seconds and then size them.

Not entirely sure why people want to over complicate this.

I am generally quite keen to crap on Lee stuff when it is deserved (which is most of the time) but they deserve a mention for their cheap crap that does actually work well. Which includes their Lube, their powder throwers and their case length gauge and drill trimming stuff. Their hand primers are ok as well if you single load the primers. I hate those stupid feeder things. Spend more time taking it apart and resetting primers which are trying to make their way in to the pocket at some random 90 degree angle.

The stuff I got was not thin enough to spray, so your search result might be too thin already.

100% liquid lanolin is almost like thick honey, I carried the tubes in my pocket until they warmed enough to be pourable.

I can't find the exact stuff online now, but it was made by a company call NOW. I think the 100% anhydrous lanolin will also work, as long as it will dissolve in the alcohol. You'll need somewhere around 220ml to 250ml to get a good ratio with 5lt of IPA.

Something like this might work LINK.

I've had an aerosol of Hornady's 'One Shot', and a tin of Imperial wax, for years, and they both do the job perfectly. In the grand scheme of things, the cost is really pretty negligible.
