Catapult hunting

I just use mine to scare pests out the garden now.
I use to get the odd rabbit.
Funny thing is, no one batted an eye if I showed a rabbit taken with catties but if I took one with an air pistol all hell broke loose!

Not sure what you are doing as a member of this site.
Hardly a responsible humane method of hunting.
The local travelling community use them to kill birds in our pens , leaving the bodies lying round.
I believe they have bets on how many heads they can bring back.
Sick scum.
Vinnie Jones has been featured catapult hunting on Fieldsports Channel on several occasions. Pretty impressive accuracy I thought. I've never met the man myself, but he seems to be quite popular. I guess he must be sick scum too?

Anyone who didn't spend part of their childhood hunting with catapults and other home-made implements had a pretty poor upbringing, imo. My dad made me my first catty. Made one for himself at the same time. We never did get a pheasant with one, but we spent many happy hours trying!

Used to know an old poacher who would lay on his back & knock pheasants off their perch at night, now that's skill!, the Head butler at a certain hall in Norfolk used to set off at dusk on a penny farthing with a longbow over his back at dusk, he'd come back with a clutch of pheasants for the Kitchen maids, made a nice change from rabbits, was told this by one of the women who used to work there just after the war.

Its an excellent weapon for a mooch walking the dog to take an opportune go at a squirrel or woodie

He is doing exactly what a lot of other members are doing - relaying his differing experiences in the field - many of which are very interesting. Get a hold of yourself man - maybe you should re-read your post and reflect on the tone and content?
