Just a quick question guys, is the CCI 400 primer suitable for the .17 Hornet. I currently use the BR4 but want to save them for the .204 due to the current problems with reloading supplies.
Thanks in advance,
Tony

Yes, they will be absolutely fine
Thanks for the reply, a local shop has some 400’s in so I can save the BR4’s for the 204 and use the 400’s for the hornet.
BR4’s are like the proverbial to get hold of.
I use Vhit N130 for the 32g 204 that is hard to get hold of locally. I have a full tub of N120 for the Hornet and I can get some Reloader 10X that I use for the 39g Blitz King.

BR4s are out there but they are chuffing expensive, I use them in the 25 as that gets run hot. Down to about 1500 but that’s a lot of deer!

Remmy 6.5 is for Hornet. My .204 runs quite happily on CCI SRP's. I keep my 7.5s for my .223 and heavy bullets.

Thanks for the reply, struggling to find any type of SRP locally only the CCI 400’s.
If they will run the Hornet I will be able to save the BR4’s for the 204 😁

I use them in my 22H all the time with good luck. I have tried pistol primers and have had them fail in both my Hornets. I don't recommend them.
