As I am a self confessed tight arse I started loading with the Lee Classic "whack it with a hammer" kit.
works a charm.
I got to the point where I was interested in tweaking a few things and realised the soft points were giving wildly different measurements.
So I took a old case sized case and chopped it in half with a 1mm angle grinder blade about halfway up the case.
I then cut a slot the same width as my £8 Aldi digital caliper jaw in the cut end.
Sharpened the edge up with a fine file and crimped the open end so it sat on the jaw square and held in place.
voila.
zero the caliper on the neck and it gives me a perfect bullet comparator measuring at the ogive.
