Cheap night vision scope

With the n470S? I did use to use a solaris srx but the onboard is very good. Only issue i found with onboard was it whiting out very easily on close grass etc & couldn't adjust obviously. But with the solaris it was perfect. One night I detected heat signature what I knew was a way off but couldn't tell much of anything. Through yukon, I could see they were neighbours horses, able to tell which was which, which was eating- if they'd had name badges on I'd have been able to read them!! Google maps said it was well over 700yd. Fantastic nv unit.
Thanks, I have just bought a 470s off a member here. I already have a 450 but a few here commented that the 470 was better on a centrefire. The 450 gets a bit pixilated over 7 power. But I love the clarity on lower magnification.

If you're happy with weight of it, then the image is absolutely tremendous at long (night time) range.

I use a sirius with mine, as you say onboard is good, but also in a slightly awkward location depending on your rifle

Hello, I always found dedicated night scopes are better than the Day/ Night ones, Not the Photons, I had one going back 20 years, A generation 1 NVRS but they were heavy compared to the new scopes of today like the Digital 450S , So much different with todays Night Vision, Try ratting with a Gen 1 scope ??, Am still using a MK 1 Photon, Although no where near as good for some people it works and easy to set up just like a day scope, With 850 and 940 I/R torches accounted for 100s of rats and lots of rabbits using a CZ 455 and FX Verminator, My Photon must be getting on now since i bought new in 2013, They sold like hot cakes, I wonder how many are still being used today

@Flash G 74 I've gone back to an old Photon on my night time 223, albeit with black sun ruby on top. Use Habroks to spot, turn on Photon and bang. Easily see out to further than I want to shoot.

Hello, Sounds good, Is that the MK 1 ? , I only use the Night Fox 850 and 940 I/R torches on mine but only for Rat shooting , What model Black Sun Ruby ??

Yes MK1 , no idea on model of illuminator just says Ward optical systems on it.
Hello, That is the one sold by Clive Ward, Using my Night Fox it still not such a clear screen at night as i would like, I would quite like to try a Yukon 450 S despite have a XT/Sytong/ATN scopes

looking to buy a cheap night vision scope for some rats im not wanting to spend big money on a scope for an air rifle was looking at the megaorei m5 thing thought it looks ok for the money just wondering if anyone had used one ? Saving up for a decent hik or a DNT for foxing just wanting something cheap to stick on the air rifle.
Also I’ve spent a lot of money (for me) on shooting equipment in the past few months and the wife isn’t to happy 😂 so need to calm down abit
I have a Yukon photon XT for sale - perfect for ratting.

Bought it from one of the lads on SD,had it 3/4 years now, never dropped a beat. Went back to the old Photon after trying out every night vision that keeper mates use, give me a look through that bud whilst out🤣 Habroks have range finder so just ping Charlie, know my hold over for the round and bang, another one down. Hasn't moved zero for couple of seasons, brilliant bit of kit albeit bit dated nowadays.

Hello, Just hoping my MK 1 sees me out, I might try a Swop with my ATN and Sytong for a Yukon 450S
