cheapest night vision or thermal

Having just gotten my hand on a chiappa little badger in 17hmr i think its finally time i look into som kind of night optic.

Looking on local gunshops websites however they cost 900-6000 euro... Iam sure there must be some cheaper options? it doesnt need to withstand mutch recoil and with how this weapon will be used even a 1x would work for me.

Anything i should be looking into on the smallest budget possible? I can ONLY shoot small predators with it here so its just not worth mutch investment for me.

Call ATN and speak with them about factory refurbs or look on here for a used one
Something like an ATN pro 4k would do perfectly and should be able to find it for a couple of hundred quid
Don’t forget will need and ir torch as well

the chiappa has a quad rail. Could such a torch go underbarrel? i want to keep everything in one backpack friendly package.

No idea I’ve run out of knowledge there! But that night vision really does work, with a good IR. I used it for foxing for the first year this year and I was truly impressed at that price point
. Also look at LEP torches that some folk use for modern lamping which would be an even cheaper alternative (if you have a thermal spotter already).

For Finland you’ll have to deal with the ATN Bulgarians. You won’t get a deal there like they would in the UK with Rob, and they can’t post without an export license. I’d look for a used alpex, good scope and good deals about because of their new models.

Didn’t see it was Finland! Check out everyone else’s advice in which case. Assume that means can’t send a second hand anything over there as a private seller either.

you can, i even order RPK and AK mags from UK. So long as the item doesnt require a license (wich these dont)

Most cost effective option is to use your day optic in conjunction with a small LEP torch like this (under €100 with the mounts):

Torch is the Vastlite Bow Minima, you’ll find it on the web and is bought direct for around €80 delivered.

Thank me later.

Hello, What night vision can you buy in Finland ? What is your budget ?, Are you looking at a dedicated N/V scope or may be a Day scope add on like a Pard, Or a good Red Torch on a day scope would be around £50

up to 300 used. i can get all kinds of stuff, cheapest brand new is sightmark wraith. I am looking at something dedicated to night use but ofcourse it must be usable in daylight. preferably as light and small as possible but i can compromise if it saves my wallet. The use will be a small single shot folding rimfire and realistic ranges are 20-50m for initial shot with up to 100m for a possible finishing shot. I hunt over bait but the buggers are known to run 50m and play dead.

Hello, Best on AO or Side focus scopes with low start magnification 3 or 4 X, My scope was not illuminated and worked ok
4x36 diatal? got a couple of those. Or do i not even have to worry about scope glass like that? for instance will a budget vector scope do?
