Chiller rails

thanks for those pictures 75. I don’t have the underhand on my door so with a short s hook and transfer gambrel it would work.

Iv just ordered those rails so see what happens and I will update you all once I have fitted them and my set up.

Really appreciate it guys 🦌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴

I use the "A" shaped gamblers from bushwear. I have a carabiner permanently clipped on each one. My winch hook goes through the gambrel itself, and when it's hoisted up I just slip the carabiner onto the hook on the rail and release the load from the winch to transfer. It was a cheaper option than getting the gambrels with the additional eye.

They’re far from weak in a straight line I can assure you.
The bloke said the door track had a 70kg rating. 3 times that is weak. Other things that are nuisance with an internal roller rail is all the unnecerssary miving parts, cleaning in the rail and the size of the rolling box. 1/2"-2" rail and skid hooks with a 2" gap to roof.

Welcome, I would make a base plate with a couple of pins to fit the winch mount and put 6mm R clips through that way you can put it away if you have a wash down.
Or bit of studding welded from the back and bolt it....
The weakest bit is the pulley mount, I had a pit prop brace under my hand pulley as Dad could only afford 3x2 when he built it but I made a span from a Acro prop from the wall plate to a 7x3 centre brace.
And if you don't want to move the winch or work around it then mount it on a wall and run the cable at ceiling height to a pulley to gain as much height as possible. The floor can be clear of fixings for easy cleaning.

I was referring to those the OP posted images of.

Ok, sorry I should have replied to the OP 70kg door track post which is what I was actually referencing. Anyway those internal track systems are too cumbersome and time consuming to clean for me. They hold moisture inside aswell. Each to own🙂
