When does minor damage become serious damage ?

How is this determined ?

I only have roe deer to manage so how is this damage evidenced?

Anyone have the above licence to control roe deer , if so did you produce evidence or do they just give authority on your say so.

Your land owner is the one who will deem how severe the damage is as it comes out of their pocket, each lost sapling has a cost.
Look at the cost when they have to pull up a failed crop then all the previous work is in the negative and then a second cost to re drill it.

It is a good point which will be abused, we are just the "servant"

Essentially you self certify. Keep photos of browse lines, enclosures, fraying etc and be prepared to produce it if required

Roe fraying is a normal business risk though so when does it become serious?

Just wondering for future reference .

But as Selous says if you self certify I suppose no checks will be carried out.

Could you no get photos of deer in fields at night or record with thermal 🤷‍♂️
Getting a bit like the wood pigeons a few years ago when bell end packham threw a spanner in the general licence
