That old chestnutIm killing deer to save the bluebells
Nothing to do with you enjoy stalking and killing them
It's what the Estate wants done - that's what dictates the Deer Management plan.

my HMR
Last night popped out with the trusty HMR on rabbit control. Forecast was meant to be dry but it drizzled a lot , never mind there was a few bunnies about.
There was a few young rabbits about tonight and quite often a few pairs , buck and doe sitting together, of which I did the double a few times.
Shot a black rabbit and a bonus rat
Ended on 32 rabbits , didn't pick them all as shot a few in a fodder crop.
Got to bed at 3am ....

No deer or rabbit is worth lack of sleep!

Timmy who repeats all the time I started with ferretting, foxing and it gets you stalking.
I've ferretted more rabbits than you could only dream of.
The reason you have too many deer down South is you dont enjoy killing them , Northerners would do a much better job
