Bio or non bio?Put brass in a cloth bag (old bank coin bag is ideal), throw into washing machine, put brass in chinese carry-out trays and leave overnite on radiator.
Make sure bag neck is securely tied - ask me how I know….

Wire wool and a little elbow grease, then use a neck brush before decapping/sizing, trimming, chamfering, etc. Been using the wire wool method since my tumbler melted and is quite satisfying how shiny you can get things with relatively little effort.

I noticed after several firings I can tap on an upturned case and fine black dust drops out. So cleaning the insides and removing case lube, especially in the small necks. Why do you clean them?
Silly KB - don’t you know that everything is made in China now?Do the drying trays have to be Chinese?
Thanks, Ken.
Chatting to a chap last night from the beer brewing bottle handling industry and he was often in China he said they have technically come on in leaps and bounds since his first foray there 15 years ago he was impressed by them.Silly KB - don’t you know that everything is made in China now?

Thought I’d share this ultra sonic recipe…Hi,
My Ultra sonic cleaner has gone kaput.
Is there a concoction to boil cases in that will clean them?
Just now I’ve got some cases boiling in water and washing up liquid.
It’s as much to get the case lube off as anything else.
Thanks,Ken.
That's a bloody big neck trimmer @DavyGThought I’d share this ultra sonic recipe…
One tblsp of Fairy max power & 2 tblsp’s of Tesco lemon juice.
Except one of the residues from used cases is lead styphnate, which is water soluble, highly toxic and if your dishwasher is getting like one of ours, may end up on what you use next.Dishwasher also does a good job

Basic rule of reloading, is do not do it in an area where people eat, where children can play, or bring anything to eat onto your reloading bench.
For the sake of £60, just buy another dedicated cleaner, or do what Eric Cortina says he does and forget about cleaning brass as he claims it makes no difference to accuracy even at national competition levels.
