Cleaning cases?

kenbro, The answer is Citric Acid. Put a teaspoonful in a pint of water and bring to the boil. Add your brass and stir occasionally. Remove after 10 minutes. Dry and then tumble for 30 minutes. Job done.

Hi,
My Ultra sonic cleaner has gone kaput.
Is there a concoction to boil cases in that will clean them?
Just now I’ve got some cases boiling in water and washing up liquid.
It’s as much to get the case lube off as anything else.
Thanks,Ken.
Just today had a recall notice on mine.
[ item details: 313206458005 - 6L ] Ultrasonic Cleaner Cleaning .

Due to shock fault.
Emailed them and as they came from the EU its a waiting game but sold as a 🇬🇧 seller ? .
I do use Dishwasher all in one gell tablet things with a few drops of washing up fluid.
So can't see why not ? .
Please inform us of your outcome.

I bought this model and it works very well but it’s VERY noisy when in use.
I switch my earring aids off but wifey can still hear it. 😱

I really can’t understand why anyone even bothers to clean their brass. I never have, It’s always struck me as being a total waste of time and a way to generate some toxic waste.
Kindest regards, Olaf

The answer 2 people have already posted - 1 said lemon juice and the other citric acid for cleaning the brass = same thing. Citric acid with a drop or two of fairy liquid [NOT a squirt] will work wonders if simply swilled around in the washing up bowl. If then put individually in a shell holder on a (n electric spindle] and cleaned with paper tissue will both clean and polish the brass inside and out. Cleanliness IS next to Godliness in reloading and the absence of contaminants. You will be surprised how much dirt comes out on the tissue from the inside of the case especially if electrically spun and the tissue goes into a twisted worm inside the case.
@Oldstalker How much citric acid to how much water please?
