Cold Room Direct & Fisher Hunter Stand Alone Larders

I’m going to be moving house which means I’m leaving my purpose built deer larder behind.

Wondering if any SD members have first hand experience of using any of the Coldroomdirect or Fisher Hunter stand alone deer larders.

As much as I love my Landig, I’m looking to increase my capacity and would ideally like a walk in chiller with a rail system.

Would be keen to hear feedback on real time use and how the larder is performing.

Thanks in advance.

We got a new Fisher larder on the farm about a year ago. So far it has performed faultlessly although there are a few little niggles - like the cable for the hoist fouling the rail the hooks run on when lifting a carcass from the back of a truck because the hoist is inboard of the rail not outboard and the hoist controller being in the way because it’s wired to the motor & not plugged in somewhere out of the way. All stuff I’m sure they’d sort for you if asked when you order.

You can see what I mean in this picture - hoist is behind the front rail & trailing lead for hoist controls needs moving. Also worth commenting that the drain from the chiller (the white plastic pipe on the left) is now broken & would be better off being routed out the side of the unit where it can’t get hit by large pairs of antlers or a clumsy stalkers boots!

What sort of money are these working out at?

I am interested in a Fisher , coldroom direct / game cooling systems / Tarrant refrigeration or similar hunter / butchery sized unit approx 9m x 3m x 3m ideally used but I suppose they are few and far between unless someone is upgrading. I currently have a 8ft cube type shipping container fully insulated and lined with winch and rails and want to upgrade. If anyone spots something similar to the above and is interested in mine I would do them a good deal. Please direct message me your friendly rfd :)
