Barley being combined this week in north Essex, apparently rape should be starting next week. Better check the lamp still works as I've left it too late to sort a scope out to work with the Pard

Speaking to a tractor driver yesterday. Rape still not been cut here in Dorset. It looks very brown in the field but he said some pods are still green inside. He reckons the cold wet start to the summer in late May/early June held it back.

Bit late to ask I saw some stubble being cultivated last weds next to the M5. Lots of cereals cut on M4 week last Friday, barley cut around us and rape was sprayed off at least a week ago so mid week. Wheat will be while yet.

Winter Barley, Oats and rape cut here in Devon. Started two weeks ago.

Just started last week on the barley,now have been stopped by the recent rain. Drying really fast now warm and windy,I would expect them to start again tomorrow as a good fforcast this week .

Just started on 600 acres of it. Winter Barley done so Winter wheat next, then Spring Barley, then Spring wheat.
Looking at end August to start on Fallow bucks if weather stays right.

the farm boys are flat out and the roe have gone berserk two killed on the a34 today chasing each other another run over on the a 417 and another on the b349<i think>,roe bucks chasing roe bucks! not seen any does but would think they will be rutting tonight,thunder and lightening but no rain here yet.been out since 0400 today and got in at 21.15 sweating like a pig .now for a cold drink and set the alarm for tomorrow to see what can be thin out.dont you just love this time of year.!!!!!!

One I called in on Sunday eve, only shot taken was with the phone! Still a little while off starting to combine but I have several bucks that have moved onto the farm this past week.

We cut our rape yesterday at 8 1/2 % near Exeter
