Commercial insurance any other providers?

Good morning chaps,

Now as we are all aware the cost of living and spiralling costs to businesses we are looking at alternative income. We have a number of high seats on our farm and border a wood of appx 150 acres an another much much larger not too far away. One thing has led to another and having been shooting for a number of years I have thought about taking on guests to use these high seats every so often. We have the continuous stream of deer, as they migrate and settle/hang around here due to man made boundaries ie the M40 motorway. The land only really lends itself for shooting from high seat/ tower as it’s as flat as a witch’s chest so no foot stalking as such.

Now my question, is there any other commercial insurance firm/broker out there other than clivertons that I have just received a quote from? I have had a quick search within the forum but could not find any as there’s a lot of topics on “insurance” mostly private individual. I want to do this right if I pull the trigger on this project, many thanks for any help.

I use clivertons expect to pay more for everything as soon as you take people out helpers or paying guests. Remember to tell your truck insurers to.

At least you’re not doing what most of the stalking providers do and saying ‘clients must have own insurance’ then hoping and praying that there is never a reason to test it!

I'm about to leave Country Cover Club, just contacted Clivertons for a quote for deer stalking/fly fishing, been with them before, should never of left really, some unsuitable t&c's with CCC.

When I dialled down into the policy it wasn't for me for future cover, it's half the price of Clivertons for a reason.
Is client stalking your main income? I'm not being nosey, I don't care if it is or isn't, but they do.

Nothing like my main income, it mustn’t be for this policy , but worth the extra few quid if you are taking paying guests out and/ or instructing them.

I paid the extra few quid, and it is my main income as it's combined with my fly fishing, so for you it's fine, but for full timers like me it isn't, thats why I'm going back to another provider.
One other thing, I had a few stalkers out one day, CCC said (I retained the email) 'if I can see all of them all of the time I am covered, if I can't, I'm not, but don't worry as their own insurance will cover them', ok, I will sleep better after that statement!
Sometimes I have 3 fisherman out on a river, they don't have Insurance.

just re-upped with them last week - £10mn cover for £370pa

NFU Commercial been with them for years they cover all my deer related activities and are very helpful...

Just gone back to Clivertons, covers everything I need fishing/stalking client wise and also sale of venison
