Condor thoughts?

Last night we went to the Hik demo at Dauncey guns. The had all the gear there except one monocular. Guess what no Condor 50mm to play with! Had a 35 and desperately wanted to compare the 35 and 50mm Condors.
Appears they can't carry all the range so they exclude the flagship model!
Apparently there have been a few issues with it but it's all been over blown on social media.!
They did have a set of Habrok to play with image pretty stunning but as we were there in the dark so no idea what they are like in daylight.
The fact that there was no 50mm Condor on the van speaks volumes.
D
That’s Bo*****s because they had them when I went…… totally agree about the habrok and exactly what I said to them at the time.
Maybe they should get a bigger van.
They have plenty of room, there is another reason behind it because they had everything when I went

Looks like my cq50 also has the battery charge reading fault. These were “flat” after around an hour, only around 1000 of the 3400 mah actually used( or at least that’s what they each took to be fully charged again).Hope update comes out soon.

That dispels the shite hik battery theory , i dont think social media has made a mountain out of a mole hill just informed potential buyers the faults not buy into the hik hype bullshite ! 5 weeks my condor has been away poor customer service !

I had the same thing with both units, once i put the batteries in the charger, was still showing over half charge left.

I had my recently returned Condor CQ35L out last night for 5 hours from 1-5PM doing a mix of stalk and highesat along with wifie and her FQ35 .

Net results after doing the session was that her FQ35 unit was at half a battery on screen and took 1568mA to charge where as i had to change battery at 1 bar due to loss of RF (I used it 3 times) and at end of session each battery took circa 1220mA hence 2440mA in total. Net experience is that it's better, not Falcon like better but it's not getting warm and that it's desperately in need of a firmware update to understand it's charge remaining because that's 1/3 taken not 2/3rds.

The wife's Falcon gets 2 deer sessions on a single battery, I get why now but I would be happy with the Condor if they fix the battery display.

Had my CL35 back today , tested it for two hrs and two bars left . If i can do 3hr per battery that will do me , condor great image and lrf and fits the hand nice for regular scanning . Shout out to CS Sporting great service and loan of a spotter !

Hi, is that not 4 hours?
Chers, K.

My CH35 was replaced by Elite Optical Distribution (Great service Thanks Cris) and Tested it with everything switch on and it lasted 3.5 hours against 40 minuets with the first unit. Also I have notice the firmware on the new one is different V5.5.70 build 230908 so I’m happy at the moment hope it stays the same. Field test this Friday

Interesting as my cq50 has same firm wear and as per previous post gives 1 hr per battery before showing low battery, but in reality still has 2/3 of charge left.

These investments are not cheap by anyone's standards, and so you'd like to think that instead of rushing to market they'd be ready for market.

I've considered Hik products and very tempted by the new Alpex NV, but to be honest the lack of reliability and product support is a put off.

I did the firmware update on my CH25L a few hours ago. Its a bit early to tell, but I think it has made a noticeable difference to the battery life. Need a bit more time with it.
The zoom increments changed and are now 2.5, 5, 10 and 20. There are more increments for the LRF. I set mine to 5 seconds to help with the battery, which is plenty. Lrf seems a bit "steadier" now also. I might be seeing things, but the zoom looked a bit clearer at higher mag.
Didn't notice any other changes.
Good to see Hik got the update out when they said they would.

Does the little lrf box stay on the screen all the time ? It does on my cl35 after firmware upgrade !
