Copper: Next to be banned?

Copper is getting harder to extract from the crust.
Unfortunately as mining in Britain and Europe is considered disgusting copper bullets will be banned and special licenses will be issued with associated hoops for shooters to use lead bullets again.

There is no shortage of copper. Else the eorld would have run out of copper in the 1950s. What "a shortage" means is a lack of ore in a sufficient quality to be at the time of the prediction being made the extraction is not economically viable to extract. So the prediction of the world running out of copper in the 1950s was that the world would run out of copper that AT THE TIME THE PREDICTION WAS MADE was then economics viable to extract. As the price has risen so it has now become economically viable to mine ore that in the past would have been classed as of insufficient quality to work. And on which basis it was predicted we would run out in the 1950s.

To connect all the windmills and solar panels it will become unethical for cruel hunters and evil gun lovers to shoot the stuff!
It will be prioritised.

Actually, one day we will be shooting arrows!

Does it make you cringe when someone shooting a bow says they are firing a bow! It does me🤦

Re bullets penciling through for want of a better description even lead cored bullets can do that. Seen it a few times. I've also seen a rifle consistently turn premium game bullets into varmint grenades.
One rifle would separate it's core from the jacket every time but not in another rifle.
Funny thing bullets, there are no rules, just expectations.

And another thing, why the fascination with " bang flops". These are large game animals, small game often runs after being shot so will large game, it's natural.

I’ve visited copper plants all over the world in a previous job, it’s still big business. So much scrap copper out there and it can be remelted and recycled over and over. Copper pipe is a key requirement for aircon and that market is only growing. There’s a good argument for copper
over plastic in plumbing too. I don’t think it’s going anywhere soon and I’m not sure what the argument would be for banning it in bullets.

I'm just playing devil's advocate.

Europe and Britain want to go super green on renewables but it will take way more copper and other precious metals to do it than they need now. It though will require far more energy than it use to take to extract said metals than it use to but there will be less energy available to get at it, especially, God forbid, if they finish with oil.
In truth it's not going to happen but in the doomsday precious metals scenario desperate governments won't allow it's use in bullets.
