This has been a long term project and I always seem to find other combinations that shoot great, but I’m now in a fortunate position of having a few hundred 40 grn v max loaded up and ready for work that shoot almost to the same hole at 100m using the v max and reload Swiss 36 ( see below, first pic)
So I’ve bought a few different bullets and prepped 100 cases and thought I’d just start playing. Over 25.4 grns of cfe223 it started to show promise, now to try some different seating depths.
Has anyone else used this powder in .222?
2 groups below, best with reload Swiss 36 and best with cfe223, both 3 shot groups
