Evening,

Having been bitten and gorged on by a tick last year and with summer approaching, i have been looking at the Rovince kit for a while now.

Anyway while stuck on a train this evening while police and railway staff attended to a suicidal woman on the tracks, I found that outdoorgb have an almost half price sale on the Craghopper Nosilife shirts.

They are advertised as having explored the Amazon and having been treated with permethrin that requires no maintenence. Considering I spray my outers with permethin at £34 a shirt i though I'd invest and share.

Ps I don't work for Craghoppers and have no idea how good they are but at half price im a sucker for a bargain.

I spray my clothes with permethrin as well. Proper dousing everywhere so they take ages to dry off. I rarely wash them ha ha ha and just give them a repeat spraying regime a couple of times a year. I am lay on the ground shooting rabbits and all sorts as well as shooting some deer.

Where abouts did you get bitten? I guess there is no such thing as 100% protection but just interested to know how they got through your defences. The specialist clothes must be properly soaked in the stuff. Surely after a while from washing it must deteriorate. That is why I rarely wash my shooting stuff. I just buy new stuff and treat it when it falls to bits.

I love my Crag hopper trousers but the shirt is a weird fit that’s great in chest but like someone’s put mega small diameter sleeves on it and it’s not long enough in body ....strangest fit on a shirt I ever worn

I wear NosiLife shirts when stalking on a hot simmer day, and when I go to tropical area's to visit a son who lives and works in the Jungle. We both like and wear NosiLife shirts. However if you've ever been to a tropical rainforest....the shirts need washing a lot, and I imagine the 'anti-mosquito properties' will wear out after a couple of dozen of washes.

I got bitten under my right arm on my ribs. I suspect it happened when I took my outers off and skinned the deer just wearing a shirt.

We used to sell Craghoppers and we love the range. The feedback we used to get was very positive indeed. We stopped selling nosi as we didn't stock all their ranges and it was only a few sellected peices we used to buy.

Another great recommendation that we cannot get anymore, is Bug-ger off Insect repellent. Tough on even the most keenest of Scottish Midges. So if you find some, try it, you shouldn't be dissapointed. OUr supplier dropped it from their range, so we could buy it anymore as no one took it on in the UK from what we know.

Bought a couple of nosi last year don’t think much to them at all .. careful if you have them pressed, they burn real easy.

Even if it’s in the yarn as they claim....I’m dubious after lots of washes ...think I’d still spray it with permethrin.

I used Noslife shirts on a trip to New Zealand canoeing with billions of mozzys and sandflies and they worked well - I got bitten everywhere not covered but they didn't get me through the shirts.
