Does it shoot ? That's the thing, the only thing having a crown re cut isn't expensive but if it ain't broke don't go fixing it !
A worn crown can often be corrected with a ball bearing of suitable dimensions and some lapping compound - but don't unless the gun isn't shooting at all well . Its just a quick way of doing something that can be very positive without a trip to the Smith
Just an update on this. I have zeroed it and I knocked two foxes with it last night. I will have to wait until the covid restrictions subside and the range reopens to give it a proper accuracy test.
For now it's functional and doing the intended purpose. Really like the 223 cal.
