For those that hear them but never get to see one, here’s a cuckoo chick in a meadow pipits nest from the other week

I've only ever seen one, and that was in a meadow pipits nest must be good parents.

What a find ! Never seen that, but as a boy found eggs in two nests, both were dunnock nests.

That’s a great photo, heard them, seen them, but l haven’t witnessed one in the nest, thanks for that.

Heard them calling and seen them flying, but never like that, just shows you what a clever. bird they are. Look at the size of it already, it will surely break through the nest soon. One of nature’s remarkable tricks when the mother actually thinks the chick is her own.

Have seen them being fed by the adoptive parent once they have left the nest but never actually seen one in a nest.

Truly fascinating 'cragman', thanks for sharing this remarkable find. As 'bullet chucker' mentioned, no mistaking it's identity in the 2nd photo ! I bet the foster parents are greatly relieved their task is almost complete too !
