They’ve been at it for a few weeks up on the top. Nearly done I think - Middle of June change their tune and all that.

Despite hearing then every year around here, I rarely actually see them calling. Once about 20 years ago and then have seen 3 this year at it!!

They can lay into late June if there are nests to lay into

Had one nest 10 feet from bedroom window 5 years ago, they cuckoo a lot more than I ever realised. Saw it once the year after and unless I've gone deaf not since.

I usually see them flying about down here mate - sometimes 3 or 4 or more
Must check my records to see what dates actually - but seem surer its getting late for them
