Culling all 6 species

Good evening, in November, I am looking to try and arrange some stalking as a present for my best mates 70th in order for him to have an opportunity to shoot all 6 species of deer ( cull plan beasts only no budget for trophys) over the course of say three days.
The potential challenge I am finding is to sort out some opps ( other than the borders or scotlanshire which won't work, too long a trip ) where we can get onto cull Reds and Sika. CWD, Muntjac are obviously an East anglia or Bedfordshire overnight excursion. Roe and Fallow opps are looking like New Forest / Sussex, which we can get to within an hour, but other than Devon for Reds and Sika in Dorset, which would require probably a 2 day safari, does anybody have any suggestions as to where I can source an evening, plus following morning, of a chance of finding Reds and Sika on the same patch. I have been told by a contact who had permissions in the area, that the Western end of the New Forest used to hold Reds and Sika 20 years ago. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Regards Troggy

I think rather than chase tails and spend a fortune in 4 days I’d look to go and do one area properly. Head to east anglia and you’ll have a good shot at a mixed back. Just probably not all 6.

Start in Norfolk AM session for a Red and continue for muntjac, CWD and Roe (maybe a fallow) continue PM to Bedfordshire if no CWD or muntjac.
If successful above, drive to Sussex for your fallow and can find Roe if needed.
If you have completed the above 5, move on to the New forest to complete your Sika and final of the six.
Good luck 🤞 and if you need any further details feel free to PM me.

What a great pal you are Sir

We try, once we work out the actual MO, I have to see who can help and how much its going to cost, maybe I can get sponsored? 😁😁

Its not un- doable, but i will tell you i will not be cheap, unless you manage to het 1 or 2 for nothing

East anglia you can certainly get 5 for the 6 leaving sika for Dorset.

My advice if find an estate or outfitter with access to all 6 and pay the money, it would same a whole lot of faffing about.

I used to run hunts for all 6/7 species of bucks and stags some years back. It could only be done in mid to.late September.
Start in west country near CN. Roe buck, across to Northants for CWD and Munty, then up to Northumberland for Fallow, European Red Stag, plus another go on Roe If required. Finally up to my major lease in the highlands for Sika and Scottish Red Stag.
14 to 16 days.
That's before they changed the seasons on CWD.

Taking all 6 species in 4 to 6 days if just hinds and does shouldn't be a problem.

Your right, it is not going to be cheap, however, if we go the east anglia for Red, CWD and Munty, then Sussex then sika in Dorset routes, we have got permissions just south of Horsham for fallow and Roe, so I might only need to pay for 4 specie, but I will budget for guides, I am hoping circa £800 Inc a couple of nights in local bnb will cover the cost 🤞

Thank you for your advice, much appreciated, however, I am hoping to stay in the south in order to keep the logistics simpler. I have had a couple of outings for Sika in Northumberland and just over the border, seemed like too hard work, the critters were very difficult to find, then stalk into a shooting range, dragging a 70 year old around the borders looking for ghosts in the conifer trees might be a task to far for a guide?

Totally agree, Norfolk/Suffolk should easily offer everything except Sika which would keep time/travelling costs/accomodation down with just an extended trip north or south for Sika.

Jim Riley (Chippenham) or Chris Rogers (Euston) should be able to provide.
