Hi.
I have been offered this rifle but have not seen it or any other example for that matter.
My question is~ for easy mounting of scope or nightsite, which rail should I fit? Further to that does anyone have a spare to offer if I go ahead and purchase the rifle please.

OK, so the banner saying that wanted posts will be removed if not in the "classified" section. This post was not started with the intention of creating a wanted post, hence this edit.
Please remove if you wish.

Bryan.

there are plenty of variations of 527 some with borderline nice wood, lots with farmyard wood. I would swerve the cheap plastic stocks.
Over the years the bolt handle has been improved to give better scope clearance - I use one by Glade Armouries
The HS precision, and GRS stocks are my favourites - I've made a list of most of the aftermarket options.
The Facebook group is pretty good or r/cz527 on reddit
If you're using a scope with a 1" tube I have some rings I don't need, Or Britannia still make a picatinny rail

I've had the varmint in 223 for a long time. On its second barrel now.
The HS stock is stable,if a little short, the set trigger wasn't for me so got changed for a rifle basic. It's a nice , handy accurate rifle. Easy to find mounts for a scope,no issues with that .If it's second hand check the barrel for pitting . They seem to be known for it .

I have a CZ527 in .222Rem, and have just had it re-barrelled - that's how much I like it - a really good small form-factor action.

I would very strongly recomend the Kozap CZ527 rails: I had two Britannia rails, the first of which cracked, and the second left rather ugly marks on top of the action from the grub screws .
The Kozap rails sit a little higher, but are far stronger, and you can easily re-check the fit of the rail, rather than worrying if the grub screws have loosened.

Really good advice from @Drum123 about checking the barrel for pitting: it is a risk with rifles that have been used for foxing, in particular, and where the moderator "might" have been left on too often.

The set trigger can be adjusted so it's a single stage unit.
That's how I have mine set up. The stock trigger is as good as you'll ever need. I have the Stutzen .223, and love everything about it apart from the 5-shot magazine. If I could find the conversion kit I'd change it in a heartbeat!

You can still get the 3 shot magazine and could machine the "wings" off the current bottom metal and re-blue.

David.

My 527 is in 7.62x39 and is one of my favorite rifles to carry around in the woods. It has open sights which I like to use so I went with Warne QD rings and couldn’t be happier.
