CZ527 magazine.....some things never change!

That’s probably the key thing.

From memory I have owned 4 different 452s, 2x 550s and 3 x 527s, a mixture of beech, walnut, laminate and synthetic stocks. None have had any issues, maybe I’ve just been lucky!

CZs are very good rifles for the money, but I don’t think the newer models represent the same value for money.

I have an older 550 308 and a boat load of CZ 22's, but the 527's were my favorite. I have 22H, 204, 223, 6.5 Grendel X2, 300 AAC, and 7.62x39 X 3.
I won't even look at a 600. ~Muir

I bought 2 CZ527 Americans in .223 & .204 at the same time. The latter has been great (the magazines, too - I bought a spare) but the former shot too fat to the left to zero (scope rails cut awry, we reckoned) so went back. In the end, the .204 was all I needed.

I've got a 453 in .22Lr, a 452 in .17 HMR and a 527 in .223. The supplied mag and the spare mag I bought both work relatively well but you cannot load the full 5 rounds. Well.... you can but the 5th round loaded is as tight as a nuns wotsit and when you check the fired case it has serious score marks from the mag lip as it chambers... I reload so that's no bueno! I stick with 4 and all is good in the hood. Cracking rifles which have always delivered for me.

I've had 3 527's and never experienced any magazine issues, the spring is quite fierce when new but soon settles down. They are such accurate and light rifles for no money, especially second hand, so you can forgive them a few minor stock foibles, which are invaribly sorted by loosening the action screws and jiggling the action. Many manufacturers plastic stocks aren't up to much. I have tried the Hogue style rubberised factory stock, which is fine, but not the plastic one, so I cannot comment on that one. The Kevlar stock is my favourite and has an aluminium bedding block and is rock solid.
