Perfect, thanks Rob! Smaller than I perhaps expected in litres but I guess they’re basically a Tardis for deer

How much of a faff are they to clean out after use? That's the thing that's always put me off the idea of getting one.
The outer cordura part of the sacks has a webbing loop at the bottom, so when the liner in the sack needs washing out you just then hang the sack upside down by the loop to dry out.How much of a faff are they to clean out after use? That's a great weight in a roe sack. I agree that they are a great bit of kit having recently bought one. A bit off thread, but what pulley system do you have there? Mine is a bit knackered and in need of replacement. Was a case of hmmmm this morning, but we worked it out.
Sika sack would have swallowed it, but my compact Monarch roe sack did just fine.
Thankfully that fallen tree was there to aid getting it on my back.

Great info thanks for the photo, I'll have a look. I bet that took some sorting with a pricket swinging on it.B&D stalkers assist kit.

Websites a bit pants - give Miles (good guy) a call.
I tried to replicate it using bits off the net - rope got caught down the side of the top pulley wheel and the casing with a decent pricket swinging on it this morning - got proper stuck.

Do you still recommend this backpack? I need a roe sack and looking to get a monarch but not sure due to no back support.I highly recommend the Solognac backpack from Decathlon 70L+10L Backpack - Camo
A rigid pack frame is crucial for any regular or longer distance extraction. Pack stability and weight distribution can be well managed and comes with a removable water / blood resistant liner bag that you can easily hose down afterwards, keeping the pack free of blood. Have packed many roe, chamois, mouflon etc out of steep country and never have an issue. Plenty additional storage and a rifle pouch to strap on rifle when you need both hands free. Good piece of kit.
+1.
Ogdens Sika Sack. It will hold and carry more than you can lift...
Personally I like it very much and use it constantly....although someone mentioned recently that Decathlon UK no longer sell it? I have not verified this info though.Do you still recommend this backpack? I need a roe sack and looking to get a monarch but not sure due to no back support.
