As per the title has anyone used this jacket and if so what are your thoughts on it ?

I'm looking for a hard wearing jacket that's waterproof and breathable for winter stalking.

I have one of these but I don't wear it for stalking very often. I use it for wildfowling only. It's pretty warm and bulky, I think. I might wear it if doing a high seat session in the winter.

As pob said , a bit bulky and to be honest to warm to stalk in , for high seat there fantastic providing you don't walk anywhere, they certainly retain the heat, and if you have the muflon trousers you will certainly stay warm well below freezing, loads of pockets to put stuff in, ideal if we have a sub zero winter, but hardly gets to freezing these days in Northants

Pretty much in agreement with what has been said already, I found it too warm to stalk in
Was great in a high seat or when standing on a peg during a boar drive or such, but way too warm to wear on the walk there if that was going to be long
Ended up getting rid of it and sticking with something lighter, just layering up in cold weather

Will echo the above, bulky and warm, but I find it too much for stalking. If you're stood/sat around in the cold, it's perfect. Good for freezing mornings waiting for geese. Currently looking for something lighter to replace it.

You will also eventually soak up water as the outer material isn't repellent in the same way as something like a Swazi for example, and can take a long time to dry out.

I do however love the trousers which are my go to for stomping around in the winter, warm and very comfy.

Do you guys have any recommendations?

I have also been looking at the shooterking huntflex jacket but not really a lot to go on.

I've been using a ridgeline fleece hoody for the past 5 years which is warm but breathes just not water resistant at all so thought its time I invest in a decent jacket.

As above, use mine for high seat sits in winter only. Otherwise i wear a viper hoodie with deerhunter pro gamekeeper coat for foot stalking

I love my old Deerhunter Ram jacket for winter duck flighting and stalking, not so warm or bulky as the muflon and they have under arm zips. Its one of the reasons I look forward to the winter, getting my old coat out again and it must be over 15yrs old. She still keeps me warm, dry and all the pockets are in the right places :D
