Just received my copy of the disk today and it is brilliant. works first time when i put it in my PC. it looks like BDS have sorted out the problems that they had with the first few that went out from their first batch. well worth the money. would recommend to anyone who is going on DSC level 1 or who already has it to use as a revision tool. the images are really good and cover diseases etc that you might not have seen. the deer viz quizzes are also good for testing your recognition.
As an exellent alternative to the BDS CD, you might wish to consider the CD training aid produced by Jelen Deer Services. Although this is geared towards achieving the DSC Level 1 ticket, it also provides you with essential info and knowledge whenever you need it.
This CD will run on more than one PC, is fully interactive and based on Power Point presentation and at less than half the price of the BDS item, well worth considering.
If you buy the CD from JDS and then book one of their DSC Level 1 courses, the CD is free anyway! What have you got to lose?

Scooby I wouldnt bother with the Jelen CD it isnt that relavent it dosent have nearly as much content as the BDS plus it is very out of date a mate bought one at the Newark Shot show we had a look at it and a good number of the questions on it were out of date making it a £20 coaster

Obviously your 'mate' doesn't have email, or a phone, otherwise I'm sure he/she'd be contacting us and asking for his/her money back (I know I would!!!), and he/she obviously doesn't take you too seriously either, or I'm sure you'd have managed to talk him/her out of doing DSCL1 seeing as - in your opinion - 'bits of paper, internet, books' don't teach you anything!!!! .................... Obviously didn't teach you anything!!!!!!
I'm intrigued!!!!! ....... Is your mate the same mate (who I suspect is you!!!!) who attended a course at the Holywell Deer Centre, and failed????

its that excellent, i only used it when i was revising for my dsc1, no manual, i felt that confident after using it, i took the exams only and passed first time (dsc1 from start to finish 4hours
