Deerstalking Fair, 29th & 30th April, 2017

I'll 100% definitely be coming and I'll be taking a crew of folk with me. I'll put the word out to others in the area that aren't on stalking directory.

If you also email Yorrick, he will fire it in the BDS email as well - he's a gent.

Cheers

Tempted to go up by rail.
£5 ticket Glasgow to Inverness + £6.60 return to Muir of Ord + £5 Inverness to Glasgow.
Works out cheaper for me than Kelso by car albeit longer on the train.

Any idea how far to the show from the train station?

Also for you guys down south why not get a flight to Inverness and arrange a minibus pick/drop off.
Flights from Bristol, Birmingham, London and Manchester,
Up and down in a day book the airline tickets early and it should be cheap enough.

its a 10 minute walk... Assuming you don't grab a dram on route haha

Had a good chat with Yorrick the other day. :thumb:

Looking forward to it!

I live 30 miles away, not been to the Kelso one before. Hope this will be better than the Moy Game Fair which in my opinion has over the last few years gone down hill.

Holiday in that area twice a year.. .. Fantastic location for anyone wanting to explore the Highlands.

Stones throw from Glen Affric and Glen Strathfarrer which is an absolute must for those interested in red deer.

FINALLY!!! Something going on where I don't have to get up at stupid thirty in order to make it. I only have a 45min. drive so I will be there. Be good to meet some of you from here, there.

Just seen the change of venue for this year, delighted! Always wanted to go but never made it (partly due to the distance). Hope there's a good turnout, much looking forward to it!

It does raise a smile to me that the many folk of good ole Englandshire have supported this fair often travelling upwards of 4hrs to it some doing overnight stays etc in order to attend
Then some of the northern folk of our wonderful country saying ooohhhh no I've never been as I live 2 hrs away and it's too much to travel so I'm really glad it's just down the road from me this year as I can now go !!
Haha the world's not flat guys you won't drop off the end of it if you drive a little further

Well that's my new years rezzy bust !! It was not to yank chains anymore but as I ****ed off the guns on shoot yesterday by ripping them I guess I stuffed it yesterday really hahaha haha

But from what i can make out you guys love to travel up here. All that fresh air, all that deer, all that beautiful landscape. all the finest stalking to be had in the British isles.
And just to let you know. Some here travel 4hrs to get a pint of milk or visit there neighbour:stir:

Quality matey nice reply
I do love your country and travel to it as much as I can but you forgot to say about all the fantastic food/drink and enjoyable conversation with the locals alongside the things you rightly mentioned

Thanks jimmy. In all fairness i do love Yorkshire. i was in Ripon and Catterick. The very same warm friendly folk
I do get where you are coming from. As i never went to Kelso as its a bit of a drive.
GOOD LUCK AND ALL THE BEST Tommy

We're up in the Highlands that weekend, but over near Mallaig running the 'Road to the Isles Half Marathon' on the Saturday.

Depending on how the legs feel, we might drive over on Sunday. It's about 120 miles each way.
