Delta Mini Dot 2 - red dot sight

Just thought I’d pass comment on the above scope which I recently bought as in was on sale (£90) at optics warehouse.

It was bought for sweeties to pop on my .22 semi bunny bashing rig and is nice and compact but that’s where it ends.

In short they are garbage and the old adage of “you get what you pay for” rings true. Yes it holds its zero and the dot is plenty bright..... as long as there is daylight/artificial light and quite a lot of it. What I have found is as the light fades or it is dark the dot cannot be seen which is not something I’ve experienced before with this type of scope.

I sold an Eotech a while ago as it was overkill for what I needed and needed the cash but am now somewhat regretting that move.

In short if your looking for a cheap red dot for driven or similar I’d hesitate to recommend one. To be honest I only bought it because of the price and the fact my pal bought a Delta scope which isn’t bad for what he paid.

Don't they have a light sensor so the dot gets dimmer the darker it is until the point it's pitch black and the dot goes out? That's why they come with a cover to black out the light in storage. If used in the dark with a torch then the target is illuminated but the available light above the sight will be too low so the red dot will be very faint if on at all and definitely not visible.

Can you not send it back as it's not fit for the purpose you intended?
