DFK laser on a alpex

Hi all
Hope this hasn’t been done to death,
but bear with me I’m new to the forum.
I’m looking for advice about using a DFK lrf on a recently purchased HIKMICRO Alex lrf.
I am getting flare off the moderator from the LED torch that I’m currently using , that’s why I’m looking towards the laser .
Any help/advice from the guys that are using this combo would be greatly appreciated.
Mick

The laser may help, but also worth raising the mounts of the scope.

How do you have the torch mounted now?

I run Alpex 4K with DFK on low mounts, I did get mod shine but bought a sleeve for the mod and when you buy the DFK from lee he sends a decent 3D printed adjustable mount for the torch 100% recommend !

I’ve just put my Alpex on a dedicated rifle and in doing so solved my moderator glare. The problem was in that my scope was low and looking straight at the back of my mod. A day scope seems to look past it but the Alpex doesn’t. Adding tape to reduce glare made it worse as it increased the size of the mod more. The answer is thinner moderator or higher mount’s. I tried a laser and it didn’t improve anything.

Should have added the tape across the bottom of the objective! It works, is cheaper than higher mounts and doesn't cock up your cheek weld.

Does the Alpex have a bigger lens than your other scope?

Thank you
No problem. It doesn't even need to touch the glass. Just open the lens cover and run it from one side to the other. The cap will shut over it.
i will try it tomorrow night and let you know
