Mitscavitch and Elrig, when did you go to Rhum,I went in 1987, good course and great fun only thing was we did not get enough to eat, we ended up raiding the kitchen in the middle of the night after a drinking session in the stalkers house.
Level 2 Game keeping and woodland management NVQ had a deer section. In level 3 you took either Lowland , upland or deer. It was very deep. The presant qualification was lifted direcly from City and Guilds NVQ and it was seen as a separate qualification. I taught and assessed the former. I was 18 months too late to get the new qualification through grand father rights and have just resat the level one and compleated the level 2. We now offer courses as an introduction to all areas of stalking as there is a terrific jump for the interested but novice party to be dropped in at the level 1 as it stands.
I went to Rhum in 1980 it was really brilliant we had ran out of booze within a few days (more came over on the ferry) and had a fantastic ceilidh on the last night. Had the hangover from hell on the ferry home.. but did learn loads about red deer
ps
Was the first time I ever saw anyone take whisky with their cornflakes !!
