ASDA does a £1 charge to check card and then all OK. Bollocks re supermarket fuel.Just scrapped my Zaffy after 270,000 miles. 9 years doing 30k miles always filled up at Sainsbury/Morrisons Taunton. Long term averge was 10 miles per litre. Nothing wrong with supermarket fuel/In a diesel regular oil and filter changes are important. Good tyres will increase fuel economy by 10 % thats why I ran Goodyear Efficient grip performance. 27 k out of fronts.

Allstar charge me £20+VAT per card per annum. It comes off in August so i just cancelled in time. My Rightfuel card (Shell CRT) charge a handling fee of £2/month.... i can live with that.

In the good old days when we could tour Europe on our bike, this happened a lot on pay at the pump stations. One year I had a pre-paid Post Office card with just under €100 on it which got refused for what would have been a max €25 fill up. I tried it 3 times and my account was locked after the third attempt. I tried to reclaim my €90+ from the Post office and they offered 15cents less than the exchange rate. I kept the card until my next trip and vowed never to use the Post Office card services again!!
