Thats very helpful. Any ideas how fast / what pressure you got to?Yes. I've had good results using powder and plastic balls bought from the guy on cast bullets forum in the states. His username is Smoke4320
The powders/BBs I used:
RAL 4006 Traffic Purple
RAL 6018 Yellow Green
RAL 5012 Carolina Blue
1000x Black Airsoft BBs
There must be UK equivalents that work but I just wanted a tried and tested option. I shake/spin in old cylindrical yoghurt/ice cream tubs. Guides online for the type of "plastic" the tub needs to be made o (a "5" inside the recycling emblem, from memory.)
Thanks @takbokYes, I have done before with powder I bought off eBay. I used an ice cream tub to shake the bullets in. Very easy to do. Less is more with the powder.

I will find you a link to a current seller. Make sure you choose a Gloss Polyester powder:Thanks @takbok
Link doesn't work, (ebay can't find it). Did can you give me a description / name of the seller?
What sort of speeds / pressures are you running at?
Best,
Scrummy
Cheers! Do you know what Shell House usually use in their .44 Cal 300gr per chance?I will find you a link to a current seller. Otherwise I can send you some green powder if you send me your address.
I got to 2700fps without any leading issues but POI was quite far off and didn't investigate further. 20:1 Pb:Sn alloy
I'm not a practitioner, but I think it reduces lead fouling in the barrel. i.e.Some folk with 444, or 45/70 marlins and the like, who cast lead bullets to reload us it, especially if their reloads are fast. eg: 2000fps plus.Eeerh, what‘s this powder coating good for please?
I like the colors though.
Gonzo, do you have a link to the stuff? Not done it for a while. But I used large plastic yougurt pots as the shake container.
I would get a lot of lumps and blobs from bullets touching during the bake. Also from build up on the mesh I was using as the tray.
But would run them through a simple Lee sizer die (needs a bit of lube, a touch of trex tumbled in whilst still warm works well), which fixed most of that.
Powders are random ebay buys. Heard that some black's can be abrasive. But not really done much research there.
Max I push them too is about 1700fps, which is .223 rem gallery loads. Not gone faster as that is the limit of the range I use them on.
