Does no one ever use a stick when stalking anymore and then use paracord wrapped around their stick to drag, gawd, I must be a dinosaur?

I use a basic soft nylon rope which takes up no space at all in the rucksack. As a handle I just use my torch. I hate to carry extra gear.

Carry anything out smaller than a fallow, but really like the Seeland drag rope for bigger stuff. On special for less than a fiver on The Sportsman Gun shop website.

Reds I use a sledge for these days personally I find it easier. Sometimes a long walk to the truck to get it but I try not to rush abstraction as you only hurt yourself. A climbing block and tackle and 8mm no stretch rope gets the sledge over the difficult bits…. Roes I have an old game carrier adapted to use the “handbag” carry!
