The min bullet weight has been Reduced to 80 grains in Scotland for all species except roe. I also think there is now no closed season on all male deer species in Scotland, but perhaps others can confirm this please.

I used the DSC1 training site and the revision notes posted above, I would not have passed without them, many thanks to all involved!
Scotland, minimum 80gn bullet for all deer.
Minimum muzzle velocity 2450.
Minimum muzzle energy 1000.
Roe Deer ONLY' a bullet of NOT less than 50gns of expanding type.
Thermal allowed, light intensifying and other special sighting devices are permissible for shooting Deer during the day.
Night shooting allowed by authorisation.

Thats the minimum muzzle energy for roe in Scotland. For all other deer The minimum requirement of a muzzle energy of 1750 foot pounds and muzzle velocity of 2450 ft/sec still apply. Which seems a little daft reducing the weight but not me- don’t think it’s possibly to get a .243 80grain bullet to have 1750 foot pounds?
