Did my DSC1 with stalkinginengland and just found out that I have passed on the first attempt.

Testimony to the level of instruction and the course design over in Bunwell.

Many thanks to Mark and Robert and I look forward to the next stages.

Just to get the FAC and Rifle now ;)

Assessment only on Friday

Ok then, well...

Shooting falls to the marksman, and the day, paralax of the earth, moon and sun etc etc ;) Just hope your having a good day and the rest will fall into place.
The "Saftey stalk" is straight forward common sense, apart from if they have the little wooden deer actually painted as the real things so you have to ID, season and decide if safe to shoot.
The Deer Recognition, depends on the question disc they are given to use that day, but 20 pics, up to a minute each. Take your time, breath... Make sure you have a system for narrowing it down and then make your choice. They only want the species naming and then a tick in the male or female column.
Large Meat Hygiene is 40 questions out of the known question bank on the DMQ website etc.
I sat the lowland DSC paper, 50 questions, and again, straight forward if you know the answers ;)

Advice wise, be brushed up on seasons, law, meat hygiene and just stay relaxed. No point going into the exam a jittering mess and flunking answers you know. Once you've finished, stop, read through the paper again and make sure you have at least had a go at all the questions, I nearly left 2 blank which would have slimmed my chances obviously.

As long as you are prepared and revised, there are no surprises, I'm sure you will be fine.

Good luck

Nice one, well done. I've got mine on Friday coming - any advice?
Just take your time as mentioned, If you have done your homework you should breeze through. Make sure you have a good look at the deer pictures, some can be tricky :). If you pull a shot on the shooting test take your time and settle down before carrying on, and if you should fail a section so what you can take it again.
