A 5pm tide with a strong wind had the makings of a good flight, I dragged my friends dingy so he could save time with the incomming tide, then made my way to my chosen spot. As I picked my way across a new bit of the marsh it looked I would get cut off. However the plan was Terry would drift down to me later then shoot the Ebb on last light then get off.
Lots of Widgeon and Teal skidding through the wind on their way past, those who dared a turn into the decoys payed the price.....
Chip is realy working well swimming through the flood tide picking fallen birds.
I made my way across to steady the dingy as Terry came in with the wind lol
As the tide fell away the wind picked up with both of us looking into a darking sky...
A hectic 20mins of shooting gave the Spaniel a work out utill we had shot enough for the both of us.
