A nice easy track for my hound yesterday, made much easier by the stalker and client by not following up straight after the shot, there was also a boundary issue as well as campers in an adjoining feild!
The buck had a broken front leg and gut shot but still went off like a train, after seeing it disappear into the next feild it was decided to call me as they didn’t won’t to lose it by pushing it more than needed.
The stalker did gain permission for us to follow up on the neighbours ground. So many deer are lost by not having a good working relationship with one’s neighbours.
Those of you who enjoy working your deer dogs will be able to read this track very easily, I wish they where all like this one.
