Really easy venison meatball recipe. Ingredients are approximate as I didn’t weigh them out but they worked well for me. The streaky bacon gives a great smoky flavour and keeps them from being too dry.
750g coarse minced venison
240g ( 1 packet) dry cured smoked streaky bacon
1 tsp garlic granules
1 tsp ground black pepper
Method
Mix all the ingredients together then put through the mincer again to help give it a good mix.
Continue to mix the ingredients by hand in a bowl and then form into walnut sized meatballs before resting them in a fridge for a while.
Heat up oil or dripping in a frying pan and brown off the meatballs in small batches.
Put the meatballs in a hot oven 190’c for 10 minutes or until cooked through.
Have them with a decent onion gravy or a marinara tomato sauce
