Labeled as an extreme cold weather glove, I have to say they are pants. Was only -3 and both thumbs went completely numb - almost had to take my safety off with my teeth.
Individual ‘numb’ digits normally indicative of wrong fit/not quite the right shape in my experience? How was rest of hand/fngers? Years spent on the hills (worst weather/in a rescue capacity) taught me that even if a glove might feel ok “off the shelf” the difference in warmth between going a size up in the same type can be huge? Gotta love a wee bit of ‘modification’ in the interests of saving a few bob though - I’m all for it

Rest of the hand and fingers were ok - just the thumbs. Literally my thumbs felt dead - had to put my hands down my trousers for 5 minutes to defrost them.

As I said, could be as simple as the fit being just a wee bit constrictive around the base of your thumbs which restricts circulation = baltic pinkies! Appreciate that it doesn’t solve your problem though….. could always try submitting them to the Tate Modern as ‘art’ & recoup your loss?
