EKA Swingblade

Just looked at the EKA swingblade and it looks a great idea and very versatile. The only bad thing i have heard is the sheaths not up to much?
Wouldn't mind 1 and have even found em in yellow

Yeah, I found them in yellow too but still opted for the orange one.

The one I have has an EKA badge on one side and an Outdoor edge badge on the other . The sheath has EKA on it. The blade is Sandvik 12C27 Eka patented blade. I assume this is the better of the two models ie the EKA one.

I've been told to buy the EKA one not the EKA/Outdoor Edge one, the EKA one has the Sandvik 12C27 steel blade, the EKA/Outdoor Edge hasn't........apparantly.

That said, a mate of mine has the 'combined' one and it's perfect he says! I expect there isn't a great deal of difference between them, if any.

I got the orange EKA with Sandvik 12C27 steel blade from Blade Tech uk and it is a great knife, I have used it on Reds, Fallow, Roe and Muntjac and it holds the edge very well. I use a 6000 Jap water stone just to touch it up after every trip. I find it is a very easy knife to use and it sits in the hand well.

I got one for Christmas and used it for the first time at the weekend on a few hinds.

The blades are razor sharp and the unzipper is perfect. The sheath is fine but no doubt a leather one would be better. The Orange handle is a bit garish but this makes it easier to locate when looking for it.

+1 on all the above. Great knife and works well enough for me. Would like to see a plastic sheath for them though that could be just chucked in the dishwasher for the sake of hygiene.

I'd tell you how well it keeps it's edge but I bought the black handled one, so I can't find it to check. Eyyethankyaw!.
